History
In 2020, a mysterious green vessel named TARA joined our fleet.
Her story begins in Berlin, or rather at the Kriegermann shipyard, where she was built in 1959 and until 2008 sailed on the waterways there under the sound name EISVOGEL, which in free translation means… WINTERBIRD – a small bird that can be found in almost all of Europe.
In 2008 it found its way to Polish waters, and in 2014 it found itself in Wroclaw!
And so it is for more than 6 years that our Kingfisher, which the previous owner called Tara, we can meet on our Wroclaw routes.
Luckily for us, the 2020 season “bird” Tara came under our wings and you can board her from one of our marinas!
Tara is a unique vessel that moves along the Wroclaw bed of the Oder River. Thanks to her canopy and, at the same time, open stern space, she allows you to explore the most beautiful corners of Wroclaw on a warm sunny day as well as on a cloudy and rainy one. Tara and her phenomenal green color makes her a truly old-school ship on the river, and thus a unique trip is a brick. The roundup will accommodate as many as 12 people for comfortable relaxation and sightseeing. Adapted to the needs of passengers, it is ready for a special cruise, a romantic dinner and a crazy party.
The uniqueness of Tara was also appreciated by the creators of the largest railroad model of Lower Silesia in Poland – Kolejkowo. Walking through the exhibition you can find ships sailing on the Oder River, and one of them is our Green Tara! Interestingly, right next to it passes another Wroclaw passenger ship…and it too belongs to our fleet!
Can you guess which one?
